On November 16th, 2018, it was reported by IGN that a new Devil May Cry animated series was in the works by Adi Shankar, the producer of the Castlevania Netflix series, and his team. In this exclusive interview, Adi stated that the Devil May Cry universe "will join Castlevania in what we’re now calling the bootleg multiverse."[1]
Adi also stated that he acquired the rights himself so that the "jabronis in Hollywood don’t f*** this one up too". It's unknown whether this series will also be exclusive to Netflix.[1]
