Walkthrough

You will begin by transporting yourself to a dark world and you will be standing at a large pool (this is not a glitch, it's a sort of...natural to demons). This area is called Room of Fallen Ones. Anyways, you will be battling with Abyss. These monsters are swift and deadly. So here are tips when you will kill them fast:

1. Use your melee often. It's very bad when you just shoot from afar.

2. When you use a move that knocks them like Stinger, it will try to stand back after being knocked down and it will scythe you back similar to a Lust.

3. Some Abyss will try to submerge itself slowly, but it will scythe up and while air-borne it will shoot fireballs to you. So you have two options:

a) stay afar so that you won't be hit by their scythes and dodge their fireballs, or
b) use helm breaker when they about to jump in the air.

4. Some Abyss will try to block your move. So ignore it and find another target.

If you are done, you have to jump to the portal that appears at the middle when you have defeated all of the Abyss.

Next, you are now in the mirror room. Now this is Nirvana of Illusions. This could an annoying part; all you've got to do is to smash all of the mirrors to kill the Abyss. Now there are things that you have to know:

1. Mirrors that are a bit lighter in color are only vulnerable with melee attacks.

2. Abyss are invulnerable in melee attacks as the tablet says, "Substance projects image and image punishes substance".

3. When you attack the mirror, it will turn back to its dark color after some seconds. Another mirror will change its color.

4. There are number of mirrors that needs to be shattered to reveal the portal.

5. As you shatter the mirror, all of the Abyss will die instantly and will leave orbs.

After you're done, don't forget that one of the two chandeliers lies a Vital Star. Get it. Now go to the portal and you will find yourself in a place with a huge hourglass at the middle. This area is called Infinity Nirvana. Now the Abyss are vulnerable again; there is not much difference with those you have fought in the Room of Fallen Ones. After that, the platform will appear and you can now get the Samsara at the hourglass. Now, go to the portals again and gain until you are back in Nirvana of Illusions. Now go to a golden statue and place the Samsara. The portal will change its image. Now go to the portal and you will find yourself to the path for a great battle. Ignore the two Fallen, if you want to.

Boss

The boss of this level is Arkham in his blob form.

It has a lot of painful (yet somewhat slow) moves; but with some attacks, he changes color. His most basic is a simple swipe with his tentacle. To avoid it, just jump. Another devastating move is when it shoots a long, slim projectile of some kind along with a quick swipe. The projectile can damage you greatly. You will know when it does this when it glows yellow. The suggested style is the Trickster for avoiding this move. Another ability it has, although it is not really damaging, is the action of ejecting blobs out of his body while sinking into the floor, and it glowing purple. The blobs are his "Legions". To deal with these, mix it up with rolling and Devil Arm attacks when fighting these. Nevan's "Jam Session" and other moves make a great shield around Dante while fighting Legions. Nevan is not the best choice when going against the Blob, so choose any other Devil Arm to take him out.

When Arkham's health drops to half, Vergil joins you, but Arkham will attack much more aggressively. This time, Arkham has one more move: He turns red and swipes at you, but shoots three/four projectiles! Also, when he breaks out the Legions, he will shoot much more than before, probably to compensate for the fact that it's a two-on-one battle now. Let Vergil beat 'em up; he doesn't die. Problem is: Dante does. Therefore, you should focus on dodging (and healing if you brought any Vital Stars) on the second half. Try your best with dodging, since you can't use Trickster style anymore when Vergil's around.

For the second half of the battle, a second player can play as Vergil by pressing Start on the second controller. Tip. Staying above him lets you dodge most of his moves and aerial attacks do a fair amount of damage to him. Good Luck!!
