Diverging Point: Nero is the sixteenth mission in Devil May Cry 5 and the fifteenth "proper" mission.

Time is running out. As his body starts to fail him, V summons what strength remains to continue downward. With devilish illusions cast before him, he is thrown into pocket planes, where he faces shades of the underworld lite, and though he finally reaches the source of his torment, he has too little strength left to defend himself. But just then, Nero appears, having reached this point via a different route...

Nero will encounter crossroads, so drop down. Up ahead, use the Gerbera's aerial blast to fly over the gap. Double jump to jump over the ravine. Nero will encounter another ravine with a Red Orb Bush ahead so use Gerbera to jump to it. After that, turn right. Jump to the platform and look right to find another ledge. Use Gerbera to reach the ledge. Using the Gerbera also bypasses several enemies below. In the next room, there are glowing blue platforms in the center. Jump there and look right to see a Gold Orb on the ledge. Return to the center of the room and look around the area for a small bright path filled with Red Orbs and a Green Orb Bush. Jump over there and collect the orbs then use the Wire Snatch on the platform there to proceed. Down there, defeat the enemies to proceed. There is a Divinity Statue so examine it if Nero needs customization. There is a path behind the Divine Statue, that leads to the Blue Orb Fragment and Secret Mission 11.

Go back to where you came from until you reach a room with three spiral blockades and a few Baphomets; defeat the enemies and destroy the blockades to continue. After that, look for the path to branch to the left into a room with Baphomet inside the spiral blockades. Break the one on the right to reveal a hole to drop down from. Fight the enemies, then destroy the spiral blockades again to proceed. After going down to the next area, Empusas appear; defeat them. Then defeat the Empusa Queens that appear as well. Go down the path with spikes afterwards and examine the Divinity Statue if needed. Defeat the enemies in the next room. Then, use the flame platform ahead and use Wire Snatch in the air to the right. Follow this path up and around. Defeat the Hellbats and and other enemies, the continue but look left. There is another Blue Orb Fragment. Drop down to where the Red Orbs are and turn left. Many enemies will appear in the next room. After defeating the enemies, examine the Divinity Statue to customize Nero for the boss battle.
