A location:
- The Demon World, a term used interchangably in reference to the homeworld of demons (also known as "Hell", "Underworld", "Demon world", "Netherworld", "Dark Kingdom" etc.) or one of the following locations within:
- Unsacred Hell Gate, the first area of Hell appearing in Devil May Cry 3.
- The Fire Hell, a kingdom previously ruled by Berial, and after that by Balrog.
- Hell Gate, monolithic structures which serve as portals between the Human World and the Demon World, appearing in Devil May Cry 4.
An enemy:
- 7 Hells, the host of lesser demons from Devil May Cry 3, and including Hell Pride, Hell Envy, Hell Wrath, Hell Sloth, Hell Greed, Hell Gluttony, and Hell Lust.
- Hell Vanguard, a lesser demon first introduced as a miniboss in Devil May Cry 3.
- Several Hell enemies/lesser demons in Devil May Cry 5:
- Hell Caina, a lesser demon wielding a Scythe;
- Hell Antenora, a Hell Caina tortured to brink of insanity;
- Hell Judecca, a commander of Hell Cainas and Hell Antenoras.

A difficulty mode:
- Heaven Or Hell, a Difficulty Mode introduced in Devil May Cry 3, reappearing in all later games. This is where the player dies in one hit, but so do all enemies.
- Hell And Hell, a Difficulty Mode introduced in Devil May Cry 4, reappearing in all later games. This is where the player dies in one hit, but enemies are set to the Son of Sparda difficulty.
