Hollow Vergil is the sole boss of Vergil's Downfall. He is a psychic personification of Vergil's evil side, and encourages him to cut the bonds he has with others in order to embrace the pursuit of power.

Background
Hollow Vergil is largely derived from Hollow Ichigo, the demonic side of the protagonist Ichigo from Bleach. Like Hollow Vergil, Hollow Ichigo is a katana-wielding swordsman in a long cat, with black eyes and white skin, clothes, and hair, and Ichigo is forced to defeat him in order to awaken his true powers.
