Ice-chucks is a cutscene in Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening. It plays in Mission 03 after Cerberus is defeated.

Plot

Having proven his strenght in battle, Cerberus gifts Dante the Ice-chucks and allows him to enter Temen-ni-gru.

Transcript

Cerberus: You are not human, are you?

Dante: Who knows? I'm not even sure myself.

Cerberus: Regardless, you have proved your strenght. I acknowledge your ability. Take my soul and go forth! You have my blessing!

Dante: Too easy!

Cerberus: 貴様——人間ではないな!

Dante: さあ? 自分でもよく分からなくてね

Cerberus: いずれにせよ 貴様は力を示した 貴様を認めよう 我が魂を手に先へと進め! 我が牙の加護を!

Trivia

  • The head of Cerberus in this cutscene will change depending on which one was the last destroyed by the player during the fight.
  • In Greek mythology, Cerberus is the creature that guards the gates of the Underworld. Here, he is the creature that guards the entrance to Temen-ni-gru, which is the link between the Human and Demon World in Devil May Cry 3.
  • During gameplay, the Cerberus Combo II ends with Dante saying "Too easy!", this line is present at the end of this cutscene.
