Kick 13 is a recurring, named technique for gauntlet-type weapons Dante wields. It is originally available for Ifrit in Devil May Cry, and for Gilgamesh in Devil May Cry 4. Its function is analogous to the Stinger technique for swords.

GameplayEdit

Unlike most normal kicks, the Kick 13 is a special mannerism to these kicks. It is executed by pressingB r1+B u+B c in Devil May Cry andB r1+B t+B u orBx rb+Bx y+Bx up in Devil May Cry 4.

In Devil May Cry, the Kick 13 is a highly potent roundhouse kick with Dante using fire to add extra damage to his feet and can be upgraded to add more distance. In Devil Trigger, Dante releases a barrage of fast punches and kicks.

In Devil May Cry 2 , Trish's moveset includes a slower version of Ifrit's Kick 13 when she is fighting barehanded.

In Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, Nelo Angelo's moveset includes an unnamed attack that uses the animation of Ifrit's standard Kick 13.

In Devil May Cry 4, Dante uses a series of fast kicks and in Devil Trigger, more types of kicks are added to it with Vergil's Rising Sun-esque attack for its end.

In Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, Vergil uses a series of kicks that belong to his brother's own weapons, but the hind claws and light create the damage.

How to ObtainEdit

  • For Gilgamesh, Kick 13 is a basic ability available from the outset.
  • For Ifrit, level one of Kick 13 can be purchased from a Divinity Statue for 700 Red Orbs, and level two can be purchased for 2100 Red Orbs.

TriviaEdit

  • The Devil Trigger version of the Kick 13 in Devil May Cry 4 resembles the several Kick maneouvers of Chun-Li from the Street Fighter series, another game developed by Capcom.
