Machiavelli is a demon and one of the Underworld's top gunsmiths. He is known as the creator of Artemis, Pandora, Titania and Black Knights armor.

Story

Machiavelli was a famous gunsmith in the Devil World, he created many demonic guns when he was alive, including Artemis and Pandora. He also made the Angelo armors for the Prince of Darkness. Devil May Cry 5: Before the Nightmare After his death, his Devil Arms were sought after by numerous demons.

Dante discovered Artemis in Temen-ni-gru and used it to continue his adventures, even though he did not know the origin of the weapon.

After the Mallet Island incident, Trish joins Dante's Devil Never Cry to become a demon hunter. She also meets Enzo Ferino, who is Dante's information broker at the time. One day, Enzo asks Dante to investigate an ancient temple. Enzo finds a demonic gun from there and plans to sell it, but the gun possesses his hand, causing chaos in the streets. Trish realizes that the gun is one of Machiavelli's works and Dante uses his sword to destroy it and save Enzo. Devil May Cry Drama CD Vol.1

In one of his missions, Dante acquires Pandora. Devil May Cry 4: Deadly Fortune Later, Trish (disguised as Gloria) trades Pandora for Sanctus' trust, and Pandora is used to open a Hell Gate. After Dante defeats Dagon, he uses Pandora to destroy the Hell Gate.

Background/Etymology

Named after Italian diplomat and political theorist Niccolò Machiavelli, most famous for his work The Prince which provided advice in political deviousness. The term Machiavellian is coined from this, referring to a selfish, duplicitous and scheming nature.
