Noctpteran is a giant moth, that makes its home underground. It is fought in Devil May Cry 2 by both Dante and Lucia. It has a human-like head and golden wings. It constantly lays eggs that spawn large Larva, the giant worm-like creatures. Its spore has the power to paralyze its enemies. Its wings allow it to push a unaware human from a great distance. It is unknown who of two heroes encountered it first, but after the battle with both characters, the demonic moth is presumed dead.
Larvas
The most hard part of the fight against Noctpteran is that it summons giant worms, Larvas. The only way to stop the appearance of this beast is to defeat their creator as quick as possible. Even after the moth is defeated, the remaining Larvas will continue to attack until they are not killed.
Trivia
A demonic moth similar to this is seen in the first episode of the DMC anime.
