The Rage is a type of lesser demon in DmC: Devil May Cry.

Description

Rage

A feral creature that hunts in packs, the Rage fights by swiping its claws as rolling around like a wheel. Normally encountered two at a time, defeating one will enrage the one left alive, giving them enhanced ferocity and damage. Killing Rages together is recommended to prevent a longer, more difficult battle from ensuing.

Rage Spawn

Rage Spawns are smaller variety of the Rages. They are encountered in large groups to make up for their less-than-stellar ferocity. Although Dante chases a Rage Spawn throughout the Central Penitentiary, they do not appear in force until he returns to The Order's headquarters. Afterwards, they also appear at Devil's Dalliance.

Ghost Rage

Ghost Rage DmC

The Ghost Rage is virtually identical to the Rage, except for its ghostly blue fur and skin, and its ability to fade into a vapor and become invulnerable when Dante is note in Angel Mode. Especially on higher difficulties, a Ghost Rage is sometimes paired with a Blood Rage instead of a Rage or another Ghost Rage, forcing Dante to isolate each demon and pay attention to which weapon he uses. Like other Rages, it will go berserk once its partner is slain.

Blood Rage

Blood Rage DmC

Blood Rages are a variation of the Rage. Their distinguishing feature is their primarily color of red which will turn transparent and make them invincible when Dante is not equipped with a Demonic weapon weapon such as Eryx or Arbiter. Usually, a Blood Rage is encountered with a Ghost Rage Rage and when one is defeated, the other one will become enraged.

Strategy

To prevent Rage Spawns from ganging up on Dante, crowd-control weapons like the Revenant, Osiris, or Aquila should be used to keep them staggered.

To deal with a pair of Blood and Ghost Rage, Dante should catch the Ghost Rage in Aquila's Round Trip before focusing the attack on the Blood Rage.
