The Revolver is one of the actions executed by Cerberus and it's successor King Cerberus. This move appears in Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and Devil May Cry 5. When executing this move, Dante will, according to the ability's description: "Spin violently in mid-air before crashing into the enemy, dealing large impact damage. Level 2 is an enhanced version with increased spiral velocity."


When executing Revolver, Dante lunges himself into a spinning twirl motion, as the chains of Cerbeus will stretch and his velocity is dependant on his potential. In combat, this move is very useful as it can help smack foes that are too far for him to reach, and in terms of mobility, it can help get him closer to an area. The move however, can have him miss, since he is busy aiming at an enemy he chosen with his "Lock-On".


Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening[]

The Revolver made its first appearance in Devil May Cry 3, the move is one of Dante's main moves for Cerberus, along with Windmill on the Devil Arm move chart. The move itself deals fair damage, with a noticable lack of steering. Revolver can be leveled up in its speed with level 2, and with his devil trigger, Dante is even more faster and can deal more damage.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of two Worlds[]

The Revolver retains its same function from Devil May Cry 3, such as being available at the start and having the mechanics from that game.

Devil May Cry 5[]

The Revolver returns as an ability for King Cerberus and functions similarly to the move in Devil May Cry 3, however it can now be performed in the air as well, with level 2 also increasing the ability's speed. Additionally King Cerberus posses a variation on the ability known as Long Revolver, which functions similarly to the original ability, but is slightly slower, has a larger range, is electrified, and deals higher damage.
