Angelo Article?Edit

DMC5 makes it clear that "Angelo" is not just a coincidence of shared names -- it's an actual lore topic referring to a type of manmade demon. I think this should be turned into an article, with the "disambig" list being part of a "list of angelos". Not sure if Artemis would count, though.(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 14:42, March 23, 2019 (UTC)

The "Angelo" demons havent been collectively refered to as Angelos. Both DMC5 and Before the Nightmare seemingly actively avoid calling them that. They have different creators and some are made from different methods. Artemis doesnt count. LegionZero (talk) 19:30, March 23, 2019 (UTC)

"In his journals, my daddy sometimes mentions the Black Angel -- some kind of powerful demon that used to inhabit the underworld. Daddy had a theory that it was created by transubstantiating an unwilling human victim into demonic flesh. If that theory was right, then these dead-eyed creeps are like a mass-produced version of the Black Angel."

So, Nico explicitly relates Nelo Angelo and Scudo Angelo, while tying in (via stating that Agnus was studying it) the DMC4 Angelos. The profile for the Proto Angelo also explicitly ties them to the Nelo Angelo. Then, the Cavaliere Angelo profile also specifically describes it as a form of the Nelo Angelo sorcery.

So, we have:

  • Nelo Angelo, Scudo Angelo, Proto Angelo, Cavaliere Angelo -- explicitly said to be made from the same sorcery as Nelo Angelo
  • Bianco Angelo -- implied in DMC5 to be based on the original Angelos via Agnus's research on the Nelo Angelo; explicitly stated in DMC4 to be based on Nelo Angelo
  • Angelo Agnus, Angelo Credo, Alto Angelo -- created via Ascension ceremony, which is indicated to be the developed form of the Bianco Angelo process.

It seems pretty clear to me that we're being told that "Angelo" is a title referring to an obedient soldier demon created by transubstantiating an unwilling human victim into demonic flesh, with the "Ascension Ceremony" being a modification of that basic sorcery that allows the human vessel to develop a unique appearance and retain its original personality and will. I don't think it should just be a disambig, since DMC5 makes it clear that they are a unified concept.(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 16:38, March 24, 2019 (UTC)
