An actual evidence Edit

The problem with that is, it's leaked from a tester. Not an official source. ^,...,^ 19:34, June 6, 2012 (UTC)
But it's correct. Who cares if it's not "official" ?Elveonora 19:47, June 6, 2012 (UTC)
Um, we at the wiki do. Until it's official it's not officially correct. ^,...,^ 20:14, June 6, 2012 (UTC)
Read the Manual of Style please. We don't add officially unsourced information. Besides, right now you don't know if it is "correct" for sure anyway. My signature is NOT short! 20:40, June 6, 2012 (UTC)
Facepalm, so if you don't believe a leak that got everything right so far and there's no "official" confirmation for Vergil's presence in the game, not even that this masked guy is Vergil ... why is this article up if that's the case ?
Wiki logic too muchElveonora 22:48, June 6, 2012 (UTC)
Please note the Speculation Template at the top of the page... That template will stay there until information is Officially Confirmed. ^,...,^ 00:44, June 7, 2012 (UTC)
As far as journalistic sources go, these are terrible. They're second-hand and they provide no sources of their own, and thus are no better than hear-say. It's like the story your cousin tells you about something his best friend's uncle did. Let me explain this "proof" to you in an analogy: I've met some people who think jackalopes are real. One of them even swears she saw one alive. We have stuffed jackalopes, but they're all fake, made to "look like" a live jackalope. Now, say you were writing an article about real, living jackalopes. Would you use me as a reference for that article, me who only heard the information from a friend who supposedly saw one? No. Because I am a terrible, terrible source. This is exactly what you're doing with those Examiner articles. If the information came from an official source, like, say Ninja Theory's website, a Capcom press release, or even Alessandro Taini's twitter account, THEN we can consider it confirmed. Until then, please stop insisting you've found "proof."
The article is still up because the wiki is a community project. It has not been taken down out of respect for the creator. That can easily be changed, however. --Anobi 04:32, June 7, 2012 (UTC)
All is cool, lol Elveonora 19:00, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

Just throwing this out there...that I think it's stupid that we have an article like this. We do not know definitively who this masked person is, and jumping the gun to say it's Vergil simply because some unofficial source says it's so doesn't help. The masked man could be anybody, a new character like Kat. We need official sources, no matter what. Derekoe|Hot-blooded God of Guns| 16:46, June 11, 2012 (UTC)

I didn't want to get into DmC articles too much (I want to be spoiler-free when the game comes out) but I guess it is inevitable. *sigh* I propose a vote for deletion, and I vote for it if you decide to go with it. Right now we don't have any real sources, and I don't want to mislead people with a rumor. Of course, we can always recreate article if this proves to be true. My signature is NOT short! 19:15, June 11, 2012 (UTC)
I don't think deletion is necessary, just rename the article to "unnamed masked man" and remove speculation ... just pointing out that the leak is correct about everything so far.
Or maybe a headline "information provided by this article is not yet confirmed and might not be correct" or something.Elveonora 19:51, June 11, 2012 (UTC)
Renaming it would be the best bet at this point until an official sorce states over wise. -=X Zero X=- 20:00, June 11, 2012 (UTC)
I don't know why but his voice in the new trailer sounds like Dantes but deeper.
Virgil's power:
it seems Virgil was intially weaker than Dante in the game, however it seems Virgil got a massive boost and becomes the Demon Lord in Virgil's Downfall, (TAMD) 3:08, FEBURARY 10, 2014

Who is older? Edit

Since I've never played DmC (and I probably never will), I have no idea who is the older brother in there... Vergil or Dante. It made me curious due to recent changes on the wiki... so... which one of the two... half-angels half-demons brothers is older?

Dante is older. Hollow Dante said so and it wasnt disputed. According to the supposed developer in a forum, the Hollow characters are supposed to be representations of Vergil. P.s. sign your posts with 4 tildes LegionZero (talk) 21:00, February 17, 2019 (UTC)
