I'm probably not going to be coming back to the wiki for a while because of it. I trust you as an admin, so I'll leave the maintenance of the the wiki in your hands, but I would like to strongly stress that editors be given less leeway to make personal attacks.
Sorry, I haven't been getting the email updates for the wiki. I also figured that since you are admin and a lot of the spats seem to be with you that it is something that you would take care of, Howevvverrrrrr, if you feel I should step up then I will.
What I mean is, it's putting me off editing the wiki at all, so it's likely I won't be around to take care of it. It was just a heads up, I will of course try to get the issue under control as long as I'm still here.
Thanks for stepping in, by the way. I've noticed a lot that wiki editors across the net find it difficult detangling "this editor is speaking as someone I disagree with" and "this editor is speaking as an admin reminding me of policy", so it's usually helpful to get a third voice.
Yeah. I can see. I see a lot of problems coming from the fact that people here generally feel like changes are being made without proper concsent and there's no way or sense of direction. If I had to guess at the problem, it's just the wiki isn't as organized.
Also, I feel people here a bit too sensitive and take things too personally. While being attacked is not cool, it's not like editiors here are calling out someone's beliefs or something way more personal. Arguments here do pertain to editing and conduct related to wiki.
I guess I should be around more and start really working on setting up the policies/guidelines so people KNOW what to expect. But I don't want to change up what's already existing so I'm not stepping on people's toes.
Yeah, it's not an issue of me taking things personally. Both times the issue occurred (before it was happily resolved), the editor was warned by other admins before I even entered the conversation.
This wiki needs to much more explicitly stress assuming good faith. Yeah, it could benefit from better organization to a great degree, but there are plenty of messy wikis where people are still chill with each other.
