  • Why is it that even in the reboot, Dante does not seem to care that he is half (and with devil trigger can become) of what he dedicated the rest of his life to kill; a demon. In both hes all like "oh, okay." (though considering the nature of dmc, thats expected) Id think hed be a bit upset for a while. Its like how the demon hunter from diablo dosent care at all. Its not hypocrisy because he was born that way so he might as well make the best of it. its like a blind man sharpening his hearing. I still would like to know how he feels about being a cambion.

DmC Dante is a Nephillim (although Nephillims are half angels, half humans), Original Dante is a Cambion.

    • He's better off not been so 'oh, how can I hunt what I am.' There are so many characters who spend too much time crying over things like that like they were going through a depression. Isn't Aron Jagger like that, going on about that sort of thing for episodes on end? Better to be one who isn't conflicted about it, not even a little bit, than one that moppes around.

    • I just thought that since he dosnet care, he should at least say something on the line that hes fine with it and dosent let it make him down.

    • Well Dante did have a problem with his demonic side in DMC3 and the DMC3 manga. In the manga he has huge gripes with Vergil wanting to open the gate to the demon world in large part because demons killed his mom, something he brings up to Vergil.

In DMC3 when Vergil asks why Dante refuses to gain the power of "their father" Dante chuckles and says he doesn't have a father. He also constantly complains about all the crap he gets from various demons about his lineage. He also didn't consider the raising of Temen Ni Gru as a "family problem", however after meeting Lady he considers it a part of his responsibility as a Son of Sparda to keep it closed and to stop Vergil. In his final battle against Vergil he finally acknowledges that he is a Son of Sparda, and that both Sparda's blood and soul run through him. In DMC1 he also goes to stop Mundus in his fathers name.

Dante has no real issues with hunting demons even though he is one because most demons are out to harm people. Dante sides with humans but does have mercy for demons he believes have souls/hearts/conciousnesses(Bradley, Trish, Lucia).
